(Review of Metal Sonic Quest by Blaze Hedgehog)
Having enjoyed the original Metal Sonic's Quest, I was eager to Download the Special Edition. What I got was indeed the Special Edition.
Let's get started here.
Graphics: Same Spiffy Graphics seen in the original MSQ.
Only now, The Sonikku Team must have ditched the SRB-ish engine, to give us now fully scrolling levels.
I like.
Sound: Again, same seen in the original MSQ.
No new music, no new sounds.
Not that that's a bad thing, or anything.
Gameplay: Now with a 2 Player Mode, I like it.
Again, all the stages are scrolling, so that adds to it.
The text in game looks re-written, but that just maybe my weirdness.
The Scrolling although, does add troubles because with my computer, it slows down alot.
Overall: I liked the first one, and this just improves on an already great game.
Score: A

What do you get when you cross an old engine, and turn it into a kick ass fan game yet again? You get a special edition!
Trash that old MSQ folks!
This new baby is guaranteed for happiness, now all the levels are scrolling and goes at a decent speed with scrolling, and the same levels and new ones!
And what sucks is that the volcano level is harder (The lava goes faster upward) but other wise cool.
Graphics: All the chracters are all sega stuff (Exept Metal Sonic from the now canned Sonic 2K (2D) and of course most of the scenery is bad looking (I.e. badly drawn bg's) anyways fine, some of the scenery is kinda cool!
Sound: Like I said exept the same music (Exept some of the cinematics in the death egg have wav formats of one of the Sonic CD levels (Jap) instead of the usual midi.
Gameplay: It's the same kind of gameplay as the normal verson, but different levels and such.
The 2 Player was pretty much of a ''Last Minute'' Idea.
Nothing amusing, no obstacles, walls, or floors, just you and a friend shooting each other...lovely...
Presentation: (No comment)
Conclusion: This game is well worth the download, and the 2 Player mode is kinda ok for deathmatches so I give this an A!
P.S. All the cheats are in, including a new one...but find that cheat out yourselves!
MY RATING: 8/10
(Review of Metal Sonic Quest: Special Edition by Davie Slam
A very good remake of the original Metal Sonic Quest!Graphics: The handrawn graphics are good.
I espically like the backgrounds for the levels such as night light park zone etc.
The game uses a combination of sprites from the actual sonic games and handrawn graphics.
Sound: Excellent!
Lots of varied sounds and midis!
I like the song that is played during the cut scenes.
The game has lots of booms, bangs, crashes and wallops.
It also has some of the voices of the TV show from America & Japan!!
Gameplay: The game is absoloutely a joy to play because its almost like an RPG.
The fact that you play metal sonic means that it opens up a whole new gaming experince!
Also as its the special edition it is now scrolling, instead of those anoying frames!
This game is a wonder and is a must download to any fan game fanatic!
The 2 Player was pretty much of a ''Last Minute'' Idea.
Nothing amusing, no obstacles, walls, or floors, just you and a friend shooting each other...lovely...
Presentation: Not as long as Robo-blast but I think it comes second as it is one big exciting adventure!
this will take ages but most people will get too frustrated and just open the .cca file and skip to the end.
Conclusion: To the many people who have already got the first one, it is a nice little add on to your collection HOWEVER!
if you can wait for ages until it downloads then fine.
To all the newcomers PLAY THIS GAME NOW!

(Review of Metal Sonic Quest: Special Edition by Caleb Nisley (aka Flaming Monkey)
This game really sucks...Um....
Wow...
It is kind of addicting, and it is fun, but the storyline is a little way off, and the graphics, well, I won't go there.
Graphics: The graphics are obviosly home made, and they aren't very good at all
Sound: The sound is all right, but the music is low quality, and it is usually the same annoying song, that fits nothing whith what is going on...
I'm pretty sure it's not even a sonic song, its like Brittany Spears or sumthin!
Gameplay: The gameplay is fun for the first five minutes, all you do is shoot people down, and it is very easy until you get to the boss, and then it is insanely hard, with no passwords!
The 2 Player was pretty much of a ''Last Minute'' Idea.
Nothing amusing, no obstacles, walls, or floors, just you and a friend shooting each other...lovely...
Presentation: ... No
Conclusion: I wouldn't waste your time downloading this, unless your friends are over, and you're looking for a good laugh!
