(Review of Metal Tails by Lance)
Normally a Sonic game would include Sonic, but the creator decided to have the main character be Miles' new robot (I dunno if he is new) Metal Tails. This can actually be interesting if you have nothing to do. (Graphics) The floors, enemies, and characters are from the Genesis era. No editing to them. just Firey Angel Island ground with bright blue skies. The enemies are limited to a loop, until you shoot them with (I dunno, Pac's Power Pills?) your circles. Sure your control attack is wider, it's still a circle...6/10
(Sound)
Repetive Music. Annoying after 2 min, even the SFX sounds... old... I could make fart sounds that seem like the ones on this game.5/10
(Presentation)
Basicly a platformer, only 3 of the levels are sidescroller, really. Otherwise, it's just plain up and down flying. Too much challenge. A day a level. 7 I've counted. This could be more interesting. Ugh.2/10
(Gameplay)
No plot, no good ending, NOT EASY. It took my a week to reach the final boss, and I still can't beat him. This must have been in C&C;, which might explain the difficulty of the game, but it's still the creator's fault.4/10
(Conclusion)
Do not download! This is too boring, hard, and tedious! Unless you're a retard, DO NOT PLAY.(Rating)
2/10

Metal Tails? That's not a likely character for a fangame, but it panned out here.
In fact, really well.
I'm not sure of the plotline, (As there doesn't really seem to be one), but I think Tails has built a robot version of himself (interesting twist, eh mates? ;D) and has sent it after Dr. Robotnik!
Graphics: Graphics are decent
Some of the sprites for the flooring appear to be from the MS, but I'm not sure.
MT is an especially nice sprite, although we've seen him before.
Badniks are the typical Sky Chase and Em.
Hill from STH2.
Ah, they work though.
Don't expect to be blown out of your socks by the first level, but it goes really uphill from there.
7/10.
Sound: Pretty good, really.
The midis aren't your typical fare (that is to say, you don't hear Palmtree Panic on a sunny flowery zone), but they blend well.
Awesome ring sound, not your typical *DING*.
Very cool.
I also like the nice little badnik explosion noise, it's very different.
7/10.
Gameplay: Typical CnC.
Gets buggy.
But, this one is really okay for CnC.
MT doesn't get stuck very often.
Really, pretty good gameplay.
Has a lot of lastability.
8/10.
Presentation: Presentation is decent.
I don't care for games that don't have instructions, although, this one is like, *really* self explanatory.
The typical Arial text could be changed out, but, ah well.
It reads, right?
;D Presentation: 6/10.
Conclusion: Some notes and other thoughts: No installer, so you might want to make a shortcut in your games folder.
Also, note that you should press Ctrl+Y at the start, unless you prefer a joystick.
I don't have one, nor do I need one.
I prefer the keyboard in most cases.
Other than that, MT is a game that you'll enjoy.
Onyx C. Signing out!

(Review of Metal Tails by Black Squirrel
Metal Tails is an average fan game, it's basic and easy, but amazingly crams a lot of stuff into 500kb.Graphics: The graphics mainly consist of Yuski's Metal tails sprite.
Little bits have been taken from other Sonic games for the sprites (As in the lasers).
It has backgrounds from classic sonic games, and badniks too, but also has some edited backgrounds.
They aren't half bad.
6/10
Sound: The sound is also mostly from Sonic games.
If you've downloaded some of the oldest libs off this site, then you'll probably have heard all the music before.
The SFX are okay but nothing brilliant.
4/10
Gameplay: The gameplay is varied.
For the first couple of levels it's pretty basic 8 directional movement, but when Metal Tails suddenly runs out of flight, it becomes a platform game.
A useful hint to know is that jumping is up + the direction, NOT shift, space or ctrl.
There's a lot of firepower though, as Metal Tails has two attacks.
5/10
Presentation: Metal Tails looks quite rushed, but as it's an early fan game, it was good in the day.
The Title screen is quick, with no menu or extra options, but it gets the job done.
5/10
Conclusion: Metal Tails isn't a MUST DOWNLOAD, it's a little game you may want to play if you are bored.

What a great imagination!Graphics: These graphics aren't perfect, buit still very good.
7\10
Sound: Pretty nice.
Cool music, unless you don't like sonic music in which case it would be terrable.
But, I'm a proud lover of sonic music.
8/10
Gameplay: I like how you fly and never have to run out of energy, and you can shoot out two different weapons!
7/10
Presentation: Nicely done.
though Sonic is not involved, it still has a great character for a true Tails fan!
Also, the levels are fun and challenging.
9/10
Conclusion: This game is highly recommended for download, and I'd think that just about anyone who plays it should at least enjoy the idea.
MY RATING: 8/10

One word: Hard! It's impossible to get through the first level (really, I've tried).
Overall, this game stinks like my dad after he's been in the heat for an hour.
Graphics: The graphics were the only thing I liked about this game.
The only thing I didn't like was Metal Tails' Plasma.
Looks like something I drew in Paint!
Sound: Stinky.
The music stunk, and the sounds sounded weird.
Yuck!
Gameplay: Again, bad.
I still can't make it past the first level, so I deleted the game.
Presentation: Bad.
Conclusion: Whoever made this game needs to make an eaiser sequal.
The idea of Metal Tails was good, but everything else, yuck!
2/10!

A platform game with no instructions.i hate that
Graphics: it is good but could be better
Sound: Annoying.
if there was a show called game idol, the sound would ruin it's chances
Gameplay: I couldn't play it.
1. i couldn't find the controls and
2. What the hell is this all about anyway, this should go to the hall of mis-fame
Presentation: If they made a controls page on it, then it would be a lot better
Conclusion: This game is a waste of time and effort.
I Hated it.
It was so rubbish, even a game like Donkey Kong would be more interesting
MY RATING: 3/10
