As people know, Gaiden's been a pretty heavily-guarded project of mine.
It started off as an idea to use several of the assets at the Sonic Fangames HQ that weren't being utilized (at the time, the sprite sets submitted and level designs weren't used in many games), basically an, "Eh, let's credit everybody" game.
But I couldn't really get what I wanted, so I tweaked and flat out edited new versions of some of the sprites.
Then I replaced this, changed that, made it more complex, until the original idea was kind of lost, since almost none of the submitted works I planned to use existed much, if at all, in the game.
But instead, it grew into a nice little work.
"What is Gaiden?" You might ask.
Basically, "Gaiden" usually means "Side Story".
This is basically an adventure running alongside Sonic Adventure, it starts toward the end of Adventure and goes on past the DC game's ending.
And now, Gaiden is finally available for download.
This is my first full game release, I hope you enjoy!
And make sure the read the text file included, I rambled on a lot in it, but there is a benefit for you doing so...

(Review of Sonic Adventure Gaiden by ACE_FOX)
15meg, well i at first thoughts i thought it'd be a good game.So would most people think that.
Was I wrong?
You bet i was wrong!
Take a look at my thoughts about this game!
Story Go complete Sonic Adventure to find out behind the story.
From what i gather, Eggman is trying to get something out of his base, but I don't know what it was.
I'm gonna tell you the entire game, here on this page, yup, When Eggman is near his base, Sonic simply says "Stop", Eggman goes "No" and Sonic wacks Egg-Breath on the head, while he just stands there.
Thats the entire game.
(Kulock, why why why didn't you expand the game?)
Graphics Wow!
These do look good.
These could'nt improve at all.
Thats all i can say, wow!
It's one of the best SA Sonic's and Eggmans ive seen.
The backgrounds (ok, ok, BACKGROUND) has to be ripped from SA!
These would go really well with the game, if it wasn't for the fact the game is "ahem" a bit on the short side.
Sound These sounds are ones from Sonic adventure, but that jump, ouch, ouch, ouch, do I hate games which use that jump sound, it hurts my head.
i've gotta ask ppl, where do they get some of those sounds?
The Eggman talking wasn't even in that wav pack up on SFGHQ.
All those midis have been replaced with cool sounding MP3's!!!
Wicked!
No?
Sure, the sounds great.
Gameplay The control work perfect.
Although the Spin Dash is a bit buggy.
But since theres no game, i can't really say much else, right, lets get to what you (dont) want to hear.
Presentation Nice intro and cut scene.
Ripped straight out of SA these r.
Which puts the score up ALOT.
Don't expect much text on these though.
Not that, that matters.
Oh, and the title screens nice, done with a graphics program.
So far, ive only done the good points, prepare to be shocked at the bad points.
Lastability What!
ALL THE GAME IS, IS ONE STUPID BOSS!
AND IT DOESNT EVEN DO A THING!
YES!
15meg FOR THAT!
A BOSS THAT DOESNT EVEN DO A THING!
This will last you half an hour if u wait through the credits.
The credits take about 25 minutes to run.
(ok, thats a bit OTT, but they took soo long, and all it is, is "Me, Me, Me, Me, Me!" but don't blame him. My game's gonna have credits alot like that)
Why, why, why, do people have to spoil Sonic's name using kick-ass sprites, cool Mp3's, and Eggcellent (pun intended) backdrops.
(Backdrop if you wanna call it that).
Notes Kulock, nice idea, but you could of at least made the 15meg worth something.
If you wanna amaze people.
Why dont you send off that sprite or make a fan game worth downloading!
Sorry, but I bet alot of fan gamers were peeved off after having downloaded 15meg for something with NOTHING IN!
I know I was!
Try again!
And next time, make a game, and not some silly thing like this, Oh, and use those sprites if you do!
their the best part of the game!
I'm sorry Kulock, but 15meg for something that doesnt even work isn't worth it.
My rating: D+ (Just to be fair)
