(Review of Sonic Island Chaos by DX MAN)
Sonic Island Chaos is barely noticeable among all the other downloads on the games page. It's a shame, because the game is really cool.
It is almost a "Sonic Robo Blast Light" because it has so many of the traits STJ made famous.
Well worth downloading.
Graphics Unlike most games, this game boasts all hand drawn graphics.
Sonic looks cool, but way small compared to Dr. Robotnik.
The Backgrounds are good looking in most zones but a few could have done with a little more work.
In general the graphics are good.
Sound Sonic's Jump sample sounds mechanical and fake, but all the other samples are perfect.
The midi music is excellent, and always fits into the level perfectly.
Sound is a winner.
Gameplay The gameplay is really cool.
Sonic collides with enemies perfectly, and almost never gets stuck.
Rings in this game are really rare, so you have to use them sparingly.
Gameplay is great.
Lastabiliy This Game is Pretty big, and will last you a long time.
Nothing else to say here.
The Bottom Line Download this game unless you are the pathetic soul from the underworld mentioned in the "Sonic Power" review.

(Review of Sonic Island Chaos by Sorok Echidna)
Well, a lot of people compare this to SRB1, since the gameplay is similar (even though it wasn't made by STjr).I was going to write a nice comprehensive review on this, but I think I can sum it up in one sentence: Sonic Island Chaos is to SRB as Mysteries of the Sith is to Jedi Knight.
Still confused? Okaaaaaay...
Let me try putting it this way: Suppose you took SRB, improved the graphics, music, control and gameplay, and put some completely original levels in place of SRB's.
Sound good?
You would think so.
At first glance, Sonic Island Chaos seems to completely destroy SRB.
But there is one glaring problem... the game is too darn short!!!!
This game cannot even APPROACH the immense, huge replay value and hours of Sonic gameplay that is SRB.
If you're an SRB fan, you'll probably get a big kick out of this game.
But don't expect another SRB.
Not by a long shot.
