(Review of Sonic Y2K Extreme by DX MAN)
Sonic Y2k was a mediocer game, Sonic Y2k XTREME is much better.it improves on all the aspects of the orignal and lets Tails and Knux play as well as Sonic.
A must download.
Graphics The Graphics are pretty cool!
Sonic, Tails, and Knux all have most of their frames, and the level elements are mostly flawless.
The only thing I can really complain about is none of our heroes have a run animation, just a very fast walk.
But cool nontheless.
Sound The sound is great with none of those terrible, overused midi's like greenhill.
there is no jump sample, but there is the ring sample and a cool wav. file that plays when you enter a level.
So the sound is a winner.
Gameplay The gameplay is improved from Sonic Y2k with scroling, and a hit count instead of a life bar.
The bosses go from pice of cake to insanly hard.
(Last Boss Inferno Ashura takes a whopping 250 Hits! Thank God for that lazer they give you.) the levels are noice and big with a giant ring serving as the exit. Lastability This game will last you awhile.
after you beat it for the second time it is a little less fun.
but beating it for the first time will take awhile.
The Bottom Line A cool game and a must download.
